Outcomes
As a result of attending this workshop, paraprofessionals will have new tools to help struggling readers, and other students that they work with be successful in classroom assignments. These tools include:
Before and after strategies to help pre-teach and reinforce lessons
Strategies to help students find the main ideas and supporting information that helps them make sense of texts and other non-fiction.
Being able to reinforce the strategies used by teachers.

About the Presenter: Pauline Raiche
Pauline Raiche has recently retired after a long career as a middle school teacher where she earned the respect of colleagues for her ability to adapt classroom materials to promote success for all students across the disciplines. She is most recently a consultant for the NHREADS Project where she consults with teachers about promoting comprehension of information from all subject areas.
