Residential Energy Auditing:

Building Analysts are required to perform a comprehensive whole-house analysis in Indiana's Weatherization Assistance Program. That involves performing a variety of diagnostics including the combustion appliance inspection process, blower door air leakage analysis, zonal pressure diagnostics, duct testing, thermal boundary inspection including infrared, refrigerator metering, lead paint testing using the Niton XRF, moisture inspection, calculate a minimum ventilation rate (MVR), determine base load needs, and perform an energy consumption analysis. We will demonstrate the diagnostics, process the information and develop appropriate work scopes. We will detail interim and final inspections as a means of quality control. We will spend one day in the classroom followed by two days in the field performing audits.
This course is meant to be a follow up to the IHCDA sponsiored Weatherization Auditor Training.

Prerequisites for this course:
            IHCDA Sponsored Weatherization Auditor Training

Cost for Training: $525/person (this cost is only for those outside the IN-CAA Network)
