This is your back-stage pass to attend Sigma Delta Tau’s National Convention in Chicago, Illinois this summer. Through innovative workshops, professional speakers, and numerous opportunities for idea sharing, you will leave the convention equipped with vital information and skills that will allow you to successfully lead your executive board and chapter.
The National Convention Fund will cover lodging, programming, meals, and airline expenses for all Chapter Presidents and Vice Presidents. Each delegate will be responsible for a $50.00 registration fee that must be sent via check to the National Headquarters. According to the Sigma Delta Tau National Bylaws, each undergraduate chapter must be represented at the convention by two official delegates.
Convention registration will be held at the hotel from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday, June 24th. The convention officially begins at 6:00 pm on Thursday and will end with a Farewell Brunch on Sunday, June 27th at 12:00 pm. Your travel will be booked accordingly. Our travel agent will be booking all transportation for our convention. Please complete the travel form as soon as possible. If you must arrive late or leave early, this MUST BE approved first by National President Marissa Gottfried (marissarg@aol.com). Please remember, once you have been ticketed, changes CANNOT be made without substantial expense, and name changes ARE NOT possible. ANY charges for changes in tickets will be billed back to you. Each delegate must complete the online registration form and send the registration fee to the National Office no later than April 1, 2010. The registration form link is below.
We encourage other chapter members to attend the convention as visitors! We will have workshops designed for personal and leadership development. Visitors will be responsible for their own expenses.
