The Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Program teaches participants how to intervene with another person to address behavior that may escalate into disruptive or even violent incidents. The goal is to intervene in a way that provides for the care, welfare, safety and security of all who are involved in a crisis situation.
In this refresher course, participants will:
- Review core concepts of the CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention
- Identify what is and isn't working as well as generate solutions for areas of need
- Clarify any question about how to apply program information
- Keep participants focused on providing care, welfare, safety and security
In order to participate in this series, participants must have previously completed the full 2-day CPI Initial training. This training is intended for staff of SWCCCASE or member districts and is not intended for parents or community members.
