Early Childhood Mental Health Certificate Program - Cohort 4

The purpose of the Early Childhood Mental Health Certificate Program is to offer specialized training to master level clinicians in core knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to begin practicing in the field of early childhood mental health.

The Early Childhood Mental Health Certificate Program is in cooperation with the University of Maryland School of Medicine's Taghi Modarressi Center for Infant Study and The Maryland Child and Adolescent Mental Health Institute, Maryland State Department of Education, Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Baltimore Mental Health Systems, and Maryland Early Childhood Mental Health Steering Committee.

Certificate program enrollment involves commitment to the entire program on all class dates and completion of reading and online coursework. Any missed absences will need to be discussed with a course administrator.  Participants successfully completing the proposed workshops, workshops activities, reading, and on-line activities will receive continuing education credits and certificate from the University of Maryland Department of Psychiatry.

During the course participants will be required to prepare a case analysis applicable to working with a client and demonstrating integration of material presented in the program.

Faculty and staff from Georgetown University, Johns Hopkins University, Kennedy Krieger Institute and the University of Maryland, will be presenting.
