Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) Statewide Training

The Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) Statewide Training hosted by the University of Maryland, School of Medicine, Innovations Institute, provides participants with instruction and coaching on this popular assessment tool.

During the training, participants will take part in the following:

•  Defining the various components and rating system of CANS,
•  Completing a sample CANS vignette,
•  Identifying how to utilize CANS in plans of care, and
•  Identifying when more in-depth assessment is appropriate.
